BOMBSHELL! Was The LeBron James Decision Premeditated

In the wake of the ‘Decision’, sports journalists are beginning to dig deeper into the possible motives behind LeBron James choice to leave Cleveland for the Miami Heat. The conspiracy goes that Dwayne Wade and LeBron played together in the 2004 Olympics and a result fostered an even greater admiration for each others abilities on the court. It was at this time that they are alleged to have sewed the seeds of a master plan to create a dream team in the NBA. Once James, Wade and Chris Bosh became free agents all the pieces were in place for the sports coup d’état. Lebrons deal with the Miami Heat is expected to make the already glamorous city flush with hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue from ticket sales, jerseys and TV deals. Unfortunately, most coups aren’t bloodless and in this case the city of Cleveland will be bleeding for years to come from the loss of King James.

No matter what, Lebron made a decision that was best for HIM. An accounting friend of mine did the math and here's how it goes.

"top bracket state income tax in NY: 7.85%. Illinois: 3%. Ohio: 5.925%. NJ: 8.97%. On a $16.5 million contract, that's $1.3M, $495K, $978K, and $1.5M respectively. You take an $870 paycut on a max contract to play for Miami, and you STILL take home more money than if you took the max from the Knicks, Nets, or Cavs."

Lebron wants a ring, ALL players want a ring. He didn't have enough talent to help him on the Cavs, now with Wade AND Bosh, they can dominate the NBA for the next 3-5 years.

Looking at the money break down, he seems to have chosen a win win scenario. More cash and a better chance at a ring. Thanks for commenting.
