Is A Vegan Food Supply Sustainable For The Whole World?

When you hear about world hunger, often it feels as if their isn’t enough food to go around. In fact there is plenty of food, just not the SAD (Standard American Diet) most are used too. It takes more land to raise farm animals for meat than it does to grow produce. If you factor that in with the concept that a vegan lifestyle requires fewer calories thus less food. One can begin to see that if we make a concerted effort to focus on renewable plant based foods it is quite possible to sustain a vegan lifestyle for the masses.

In this second installment of my interview with John Robbins, we talk about the vegan diet…

John has some interesting comments on if the world will become vegan, if the meat industry can practice in an ethical way, and how the native people he studied in his book “Healthy at 100″ survived (and what type of diet they ate).
