Apple released a new update to its iPhone OS today in an attempt to thwart the latest jail-braking hacks, iOS 4.0.2 is meant to undo the running of illegal software on the device. Sony is also rumored to be readying a PSP phone melding its gaming platform with an Ericsson smartphone. Joining a long list of phone manufactures, Sony’s new device will feature the latest Android operating system code named ‘Gingerbread’.
