Pioneer Demos Next-generation Conferencing System With Media Hub Capability

Touch based technology has made the big jump from the tablet to the conference room. During the Embedded Technology 2010 conference, Pioneer Solutions demoed their next-generation ‘Discussion Table’ system.

The giant touch enabled conference table allows groups of people to collaborate in real-time while interacting with documents on a screen that each member in attendance and can view, touch and manipulate. The table is powered by the Intel Core i7 Processor and runs on Windows Embedded Standard 7 with touch screen support. Collaboration is a cinch with this table as documents can be shared instantly between it, tablets and PCs. In addition the table comes with a built in scanner and camera dock for the immediate importing of documents that are digitized on the fly for use on the touch screen. The table is in development for a 2011 release.
