Motorola Stole The Show At This year’s CES 2011 With The Droid ‘Xoom’ Tablet

The Droid brand has proven to be an evergreen marketing effort for Motorola and Verizon. Building on that pedigree Motorola is launching the ‘Xoom’ tablet in the first quarter 2011. It will be the first tablet to utilize the Nvidia Tegra 2- 1ghz Dual Core processor with 1 GB ram. The ‘Xoom’ nomenclature is not just marketing propaganda, this thing is fast and Motorola’s developers have used that extra power to optimize their device to run on the first true mobile version of Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Early reactions from the tech community is that this is a true iPad competitor worth watch closely. All that remains is the price point and what deals Verizon will through in to win over business and casual users.
