Nikon DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Hands-on Lens Review

For anyone looking for an all purpose lens that can shoot wide angle, close ups and far zoom photos the Nikon DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II is the lens for you. The lens utilizes the Nikon F-Bayonet and is a DX model, it has a 18-200mm, a max aperture of f/3.5 and a minimum of f/22. The VR II lens is just a minor update to its predecessor and is based on the same lens optics. The main upgrade to speak of is the addition of an 18mm zoom lock switch to stop you from accidental going to full full zoom.

For anyone who owns the original 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G VR from 2005, there is no need to upgrade as the changes to the version are minor.

For a field tested review Kai from DigitalRev takes the Nikon DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II  on a hands on journey across Hong Kong.
