Bokeh is the blurred light shapes located in the background of out of focus photos. They usually show up as color dots in distance while the subject matter in foreground is in sharp focus. While for most the traditional bokeh effect caused by the lens and play of light is sufficient for artistic expression. Some people like to take it a bit further with custom made bokeh light works.
These shapes can be made with a few simple tools.
- You will need some thick black card stock paper.
- A scissor or exacto knife.
- A large aperture lens to use as a template for the shape.
- A pencil for draw your custom shape
