This weekend Angry Birds took a further step out of the small screen and into the real world. At SXSW 2011, Rovio the makers of the hit iPhone app treated bloggers to a real life game of Angry Birds.
Sparing no expense they rebuilt the game using colored blocks, mini birds and pig plush toys and giant slingshot for firing feathered projectiles. The franchise has truly taken on a life of its own. Rovio has plans underway for console versions of the game as well as licensing deals and a possible cartoon series.
