If there is one thing that nerds love its pirates and ninjas. In the case of ninjas their allure was stealth. They could appear out of the blue and slay a foe Tenchu style. Then in a puff of smoke they’re gone.

While I always thought that ninja smoke bombs were a thing of urban legend, it turns out there is real science behind them. With a few key ingredients and some technical know an individual could create one.
