In an address to the nation last night Sunday May 1, 2011, president Obama announced that Osama bin Laden leader of the Al Queda terror network was killed in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The president stated that the US acted on intelligence of a possible siting in the upscale Paskitani neighborhood. Based on the time sensitivity of the information the decision was made to approve a team of special ops Navy Seals to go in and eliminate Bin Laden.
President Obama took time to recognize the global US allies who aided in the war on terror as well our men and women in the military who gave their all day in and day out to make this country safe.
